nice breaks, but you gotta add a sub bass or it ain’t dnb

this do be hittin hard

aight mate here’s a doozy for you

The three core skills of a great music producer are music theory, mixing/mastering, and sound design. Of these three, music theory is the most important - chord building, melody and harmony, key sigs, time sigs, circle of fifths, etc etc etc. I strongly advise you to begin research on these three principles, and you’ll find yourself producing great music in a fraction of the time.

As for the track, it’s not bad. Mastering could use some work, and the sounds are kinda eh imo, but you have potential. Keep practicing, research your theory and you’ll be making great stuff soon enough.

Good luck!

(pre-listen) aight bois lock in this shits boutta go hard

(listening now) those organs are incredible, you definitely pulled off that grand feel you were going for. Melody is simple but catchy, percussion in the bg helps drive the track nicely.

I would only say two things, one would be to include m o r e o r g a n because they’re fire and help the track mesh together a bit better. Another thing is just that the melody gets a bit repetitive. Because it’s a character theme (I would assume boss theme cuz it’s king boo) I would’ve like to have heard some more variation. Near the beginning you started to do that a bit more, which is why the last 40 or so seconds is imo the best part of the track.

All in all, it’s a solid track and definitely feels nice and grand. Nice work as per usual, keep it up mate :D

Thank you very much for your kind words! I would've liked more variation as well, but didn't want to go into something too far from the main song etc.. For example, a lot of Luigi's Mansion songs just use the motif from the main theme, which is why I'd have to source something that would be completely different but still somehow relevant to the character. Only reason I didn't also straight up remix King Boo's boss battle music is because from what I remember, it isn't very melodic haha. I would've loved to include more organs too, but it was already bordering on being *too* loud which is a bit of a risk lol. But yeah I definitely see what you mean, maybe for next time I can see what I can do if I ever make another LM related track! Thank you once again :D

INTENSITY INTENSIFYING

okay slowing down now a bit, melody is melodying really nicely

@2:30 whatever it is you did there is really interesting and romantic, the passion you pour into each of your pieces is definitely remarkable.

all in all, nice work. Felt dark and foreboding, but with a touch of hope maybe?

I'm glad my composition is compositioning in a good way :3
Your review is reviewing quite nicely to me!

I like romantic piano style! The section just before 2:30 was hard to get a good take, the next part is quite lyrical, and inspired by romantic music. I had to practice some parts for a while, I'm glad you noticed and found it nice :D
You felt in your way maybe a little bit of what my mind had to express. I think you put the finger exactly on how I also interpret what my music evokes. It's liberating to play, but when sharing it, it's awesome when it connects with the listener!

Thank you very much for the kind words and review!
